What to Expect at Your Child’s First Visit

We believe in moving at your child’s pace. That’s why our “get-to-know-you” approach helps build trust from the start.

Here’s how a typical first visit unfolds:

Step 1: Meet & Greet

We’ll introduce your child to Dr. Jasveen Singh (Dr. Jaz) and give them a tour of the office. They can ask questions, explore the exam room, and even sit in the dental chair (if they’re ready!).

Step 2: Gentle Exam & Cleaning

Dr. Singh will count and examine your child’s teeth, assess growth and development, and gently clean their teeth if the child is comfortable. No pressure — we’re always happy to build up slowly over multiple visits if needed.

Step 3: Parent Discussion & Q&A

We’ll review any findings with you, go over tips for brushing and flossing at home, and answer all your questions. Our goal is to make sure you feel informed and supported, too.

Step 4: A Prize & High-Fives

Every child leaves with a prize, a smile, and a sense of accomplishment — even if we only got through a few steps. We celebrate progress, not perfection.

Katie is amazing! My daughter was very nervous and she was able to distract her by talking to her about things that interest her and also held her hand throughout the entire process. The girls Sho and Kathy that work the front desk are very helpful and kind as well. Both my son and daughter are no longer afraid of the dentist. Thank you so much!
