At Pediatric Dentistry and Beyond, we offer safe, professional teeth whitening options designed just for teens, with a focus on long-term dental health and natural-looking results.

Whether your teen is preparing for prom, senior portraits, or just wants to feel more confident, we’re here to help them shine.

Is Teeth Whitening Safe for Teenagers?

Yes—when done professionally and under supervision from a pediatric dental provider. We only recommend whitening for teens who:

Are at least 14 years old

Have all or most of their permanent teeth

Have healthy gums and enamel

Are free of cavities or ongoing orthodontic treatment (unless approved)

We always perform a full exam before recommending whitening. This ensures your teen is a good candidate and protects their long-term oral health.

Why Teens May Want Teeth Whitening

Teens often deal with tooth discoloration caused by:

Genetics (natural enamel color)

Braces stains or adhesive residue

Certain medications

Sports drinks, soda, or coffee

Our Whitening Options for Teens

At Pediatric Dentistry and Beyond, we offer low-sensitivity, enamel-safe whitening solutions designed for young smiles.

In-Office Whitening for Teens

We use a gentle, quick-acting whitening gel applied and monitored by our team. Results are visible the same day with minimal risk of sensitivity.

Take-Home Whitening Kits

Custom-fitted trays with dentist-approved gel allow your teen to whiten at home under your supervision. We’ll show them exactly how to use it safely and effectively.

Post-Orthodontic Whitening

If your teen has recently finished braces, we can safely remove minor stains or white spots caused by brackets.

Not sure which option is best? We’ll help you and your teen decide based on their smile, schedule, and comfort level.

Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist for Whitening?

Teen whitening should never be one-size-fits-all. Our team understands growing smiles and uses treatments that protect developing enamel. We also take time to:

Katie is amazing! My daughter was very nervous and she was able to distract her by talking to her about things that interest her and also held her hand throughout the entire process. The girls Sho and Kathy that work the front desk are very helpful and kind as well. Both my son and daughter are no longer afraid of the dentist. Thank you so much!
